About Us
Earth Day Toyama was established in 1991 and has organized the “Earth Day Festival” every May. Our mission is to address and promote environmental issues through organizing events, festivals, conferences, screenings etc.
In the year of 2016, we are proud and privileged to host the People’s Environmental Forum and Earth Day Festival as counterpart events for G7 Toyama Environment Ministers Meeting.
People’s Environmental Forum

It is another summit of the people, by the people, for the people as citizens of the planet.
In the outcome of this forum, we will make a proposal of “Environmental Declaration of Global Citizen” and submit it to the Japanese Government prior to the G7 Toyama Environment Ministers Meeting as well as the G7 Ise-Shima Summit.
Founder of Grass Cutting Crusade (Kusakari Jujigun), Toru Adachibara is a guest speaker (interviewed by Journalist, Yoshiyuki Mukai).
American poet, Arthur Binard is Keynote speaker.
Four working groups address and discuss the issues of Pollution, Climate Change and Energy, Biodiversity, and Development and Lifestyle (including SDGs and ESD).
25 speakers are NGO/NPO members, professors, researchers, and citizens from both within and outside Toyama.
We have dialogue sessions to exchange our thoughts and ideas since we envision this forum to clarify the fundamental issues amongst those 4 subjects and explore solutions to make constructive proposals.
Join us and let our voice to be heard!
